How Government Works at Jubilee

Major church decisions are made corporately by the core leadership team. However, the Senior Pastor has the final authority on every major decision.

Elders and leaders are appointed by recognition of the Senior Pastor and leadership team to serve indefinitely. They are never elected and do not serve "terms." Voting is unscriptural and never happens here.

Leadership is defined by completion of training, faithfulness, identity, and relationships, not by anointing, gifting, or popularity.

Basis for structure is carried out through LIFE Groups and the government of "twelve." We are still in the development phase of this strategy. We anticipate powerful leaders in a powerful church in the months and years to come.

Disciplinary action is determined and carried out as needed by LIFE Group leaders and the core leadership team.

 

Some Basic Protocol

When in need of assistance, notify your LIFE Group leader first. *Note: If you do not belong to a LIFE Group in some capacity, you may have difficulty obtaining assistance.

For meetings or counseling with a staff pastor or elder, please set up an appointment through the church office. Depending on the situation and the availability of a staff pastor, you may be referred to a LIFE Leader.

Please be courteous and responsive to those in leadership over the various departments. Jubilee church members and guests should act decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40) in all situations.

If you have a prophetic word or exhortation for the body during a service, notify an elder or leader who is not ministering so they can judge and administer the exhortation appropriately. Preferably, if time permits, write down the basic points of the word. Please do not approach the pastor or person ministering with your word, request, or idea during a service.

If you have a prophetic word for an individual that is an encouragement or exhortation, feel free to share. If your word is "directional" or "correctional" do not give it without the permission and presence of an elder or leader. Failure to follow this guideline may result in disciplinary action.

When receiving ministry, please cooperate with the leaders and members of the team.

If you discover or hear private or derogatory information about Jubilee, other churches or other individuals in the church, please refrain from gossip. Please do go to someone who can help the situation.
